JCK Manager: Installing JCK Plugins

A JCK plugin consists of an extension that interacts with the editor. These plugins or extensions are used to enable the user to quickly and simply customise or expand the functionality of the editor. This could be done to meet your needs to portfolio images in a stylish gallery light-box or to expand the editor with media or image editing extensions. The possibilities are endless!  What's so great about it is that it works similar to Joomla’s stock installer, so it’s very easy to install, and you don’t have to be a developer to get started!

The first thing to do is to download one of our plugin from the: ‘JCK Plugin Store’. Many of these plugins are completely free and don’t require a subscription however, we have developed a few commercial plug-ins which allows our paying subscriber to enjoy a fuller and professional editing experience.

Next navigate to 'Components' and down to the 'JCK Manager' (this will lead to the JCK Manager cpanel).

Next click on the ‘Installer' button, which will lead to the JCK Plugin installer screen. Under `Package File’ click on `Browse...’-> Navigate to the JCK package Zip file -> and select it. Next select the editor toolbar(s) you would to assigned the plugin and -> click `Upload File & Install’.

The system will now automatically install and assign the plugin to the specified Toolbars. Once completed it will inform you that the application has been successfully installed.
