Add margin and border to images similar to in jce editor

1

Hi

It's not an issue for me but as your extension is toted as no need to know html etc.

"John is struggling to manage his website. He knows that updating his content is important but doesn't know stuff like HTML and just can't figure out how to add images or use its administration!"

Somewhere where clients can be guided to apply these essential styles would be good.

Add Margin

Add Border

Add Padding

Choice apply to all sides or to the side of your choosing.

cheers

David

Hi David,

I create custom site's so i define all those stuff for the customer.
Is it not better do do this every time the same?

Maybe a tip :-)
So an image gets an padding or margin depending on left or right floating.
It works fantastic and my customer does not even think about this.
it just works...

Good luck!

Here Less code what i use:
.item-page {
img {
margin:20px 0px 20px 0px;
border-radius:3px;
max-width:100% !important;
}
img[align="left"],
img[style*="float:left"],
img[style*="float:left"] {
margin:5px 15px 20px 0px;
border-radius:3px;
}
img[align="right"],
img[style*="float:right"],
img[style*="float:right"] {
margin:5px 0px 20px 15px;
border-radius:3px;
}
}

Hi David,

Thank you for your suggestions. We did original have designs for a simple margin addition parameter when inserting images, however we decided to implement a more generic style parameter instead. This is so that all CSS styles can be added rather than just margin/padding.
Defaults for this field can also be set in the configuration to help users when inserting content. There are also a few margin suggestions in the style dropdown to assist users. Although these currently aren't easily customised we may in the future add this ability so that users can select one of your own preset style suggestions.

That being said, if this feature proves to be a popular request then we will look to implement this into a future release, so I will mark this request as "accepted" as see how desired a feature it is.

Regards,

Paul

P.S. Thank you for your CSS tips as well Joris :)
