Hi guys,

Something is wrong in the latest update.

I tried this on 3 website's on 2 different servers and it is working ok on firefox but not in chrome.

I just advised all my customers to go to Chrome because inline was allot faster in Chrome :-D

 

Feedback:
I get complaints that allot of times after an update something critical is not working well.
I understand that it is difficult with all these stuff but to let you know that people tell me this.

Steps to replicate the issue
- Use chrome - update from 1.7.9 to 1.8.3 - Login in the frontend - Fast inline editing and saving is not possible - It takes a long time and i now have to click on save to be sure

Hi Joris,

We have not changed the save function from version from 1.7.9 to version 1.8.3. If however, you expereince any difficulties we would suggest doing a fresh install so this is to help clear catched javascript file of the older version and to ensure there is not any conflict with any extended CKEDITOR plugins.So please try disabling any extra plugins you have installed from our plugn respoistory to see if they are the source of the issue.

Although we test all the plugins we build from the ground up with every release. Some of the extra plugins for the Ark Editor you may have installed was not built by us and may possible cause a conflict with a future update.

Other thing to help when doing an update:

Clear Joomla cache. This is an important step, the same as clear your browser cache(CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE).

If these steps do not help, please do not hesitate to raise a support ticket/post so that we can look in and see what is the issue.

Please note: It may not be the fact that you done an upgrade that is causing the issue. Things do break as Browsers such as Chrome and Firefox are constantly updating. So we have to do, or more so the CKEDITOR are constantly applying patches because of this fact.
