Hi at ark!

I've done the steps above on your demo site .

This is a showstopper for us, as it deletes content while adding content during edit.

Steps to replicate the issue
1. open in browser 2. login with the demo account in frontend 3. enable frontend editing 4. edit article "HIGH ALTITUDE EDITING" 5. right before the "readmore" mark insert some text (eg. "TEST") 6. save the edit 7. disable frontend editing 8. watch the article "HIGH ALTITUDE EDITING" The link "CONTINUE READING" disappeared. Editing the article again shows that everything after the "readmore" mark was deleted.

Hi Dietrich,

We have tested this in the latest version of chrome 52.0.2743.16 m as of writting and we are not able to reproduce.

We followed your steps above an we were not able to replicate this issue. Could you tell  us if you are using a different browser than Google Chome and what version?

When you edit an article in inline mode or standared editing the readmore no longer remains a link but will be a HR tag and will dissplay as a red dotted line in the editor textarea region and the full text of the aricle should appear as shown in attachment. If this is not happening then there is something interfering. Please also ensue you clear your browser cache files['s-Cache] this could cause invalid old javascript files to misbehave for the editor which could be causing this issue.

Kindest Regards,

I see now that I've not written in the subject clearly that this happens in frontend inline editing mode.

I'm able to reproduce this with Chrome 52.0.2743.116 m (64-bit) on Windows 7 x64 with current patches installed.

The faulty behaviour is sometimes only visible if I log out from the demo site and reload the page.

After logging in again and using the non-inline frontend editor you clearly see that the "readmore" <hr/> tag and the following text is now missing.
