Hi inetis,

You could try turning off the editors processing of HTML entities. You can do this by going to Components > Ark Editor > Ark Editor > Advanced tab and set ‘Process HTML Entities’ to ‘No’.

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards

Louisa

Hi Pierre-André,

Warm welcome!  Glad you liked the note pad :)

This could be happening because your database collation is not setup to use ‘utf8_general_ci’ which is recommended for Joomla!. You can use a command such as SHOW VARIABLES LIKE 'col%'; to see your collation settings from the database it should return a result such as:

Variable Name : Variable value
 ------------------------ --------------------
collation_connection utf8_general_ci
collation_database utf8_general_ci
collation_server utf8_general_ci

Please follow this link for advice on how to deal with this: http://www.joomla-tips.org/multilanguage-joomla/multilanguage-joomla-and-utf-8.html

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards

Louisa
