Thank you for pointing this out & for your patience while we work on a fix for this issue. We have just released Ark Media version 1.7.3b which fixes this issue, meaning you will be able to use Joomla's auto update manager for Ark Media releases after the current version (1.7.3b). We have also updated the URL which is used to update the extension so in the Extension Manager's update screen you will need to click the "Purge" button before finding more updates. If you experience any further issues please can you attempt the following:
- In the Extension Manager's "manage" screen search for "Ark Media" select all the filtered results & click "Refresh Cache" to pull through the new version of Ark Media's update details.
- The Ark Media is still in it's beta release so if new versions aren't appearing please go to the options of the update screen (top right cog button) & enable the beta release software stream as opposed to stable.
- For the update URL to work please ensure that your browser is logged into the Ark Extension's website, otherwise you will get an "Access Denied" error message when attempting to update.
Although the issue is now fixed we are aware of some scenarios where Joomla is still remembering the old update URL (even though it is looking & finding updates in the new location) after updating the Ark Media from an older version. We will be looking to fix this in a future release.
Please let us know if you are still experiencing any issues in this area.
