After uograde to Ark editor version 1.8.4 and Ark media version 1.10.1 our users are unable to add images in their blogs.

Using the image button correctly opens the ark media manager to the right user folder, but when trying to insert an image, only a broken image link is displayed.

Moving to source format seems to correct the problem as the source is reformatted and removing to editor format shows the correct image chosen.

However this is not an option for our users :-)

Trying to debug shows that selecting an image inputs the code :

<img title="" id="" class="" style="" data-cke-saved-src="data113/images/1444/image.png?i=707" src="/data113/images/1444/image.png?i=707" alt="">

while moving to format source corrects the code to :

<img alt="" id="" src="/data113/images/1444/image.png?i=216" style="" title="" />

Can you help us correct this bug so that our users would find back their use of this button quickly ?

Hi activha,

Could you add your site details so that we can look into the issue for you?

To do this go to 'Client Area' > 'Edit Account Details', then 'Site Details', where you can fill in your site details.

ok done !

You need to go to once logged in an click on Articles to try to add an item. Do it with registered user suggested.

As for the backend be careful not to change anything to our config or plugins, you have all the tools to make the necessary corrections for the bug :-)

Best regards

Hi Jean,

Thank you for the detailed steps to access your site.

We have been able to replicate the issue on Safari for Mac with your specific front-end template. It appears that other browsers and operating systems are unaffected.

The issue seems to be linked to the image path's query string parameters. We have disabled the plugin parameter which adds this information to the image path which looks to have fixed the issue.

For your reference the plugin is called "Ark Media - Images" which has a parameter which informs the browser to refresh the image once it has been edited to allow the changes to be instantly reflected. Without this parameter a manual refresh/article save will be required after editing images to reflect the change. Other than that this parameter will not affect any other aspect of your site.

If you have any other questions let us know.

Thanks Paul

We also got the problem on chrome before your fix.

Will you correct the problem on a later release so that we can reactivate the plugin ?

We did not get this problem on past versions.

Let me know

Hi Jean,

No problem. The plugin isn't disabled but it does have a parameter which is switched off. In a future release we plan to complete revise how the entire plugin works rather than small tweaks in order to completely avoid this issue in the from re-occuring. When this is implemented, the currently disabled parameter won't be needed any more so you won't need to make any further changes to your system.

Hope this helps.
