Hi guys,

I want to use Ark Widget more, because it is handy i think.
The frontend inserting is not working on my end, is there something more than i should do than the settings and category?

I also use on that website the regular labs content templater.
If i enable his auto insert it works so i think its an issue with ARK and frontend.
Backend is working though :-)

New features:
I think a widget should be have the possibility that the div's are more fixed. So you add a widget there comes a div arround that cannot be deleted unless you delete the whole widget.
If it is more fixed it is already more like a pagebuilder ;-)

Take a look at the acymailing inline editor with that edit/copy feature.
That would be awesome to have in the editor with widgets :-)

Now people can mess stuff up because it are div's and my customers never heard of a div...

A gallery widget would be nice, so i can say i want 3 images in one row and he is resizing them on the upload.
I do not want 4000px images in my gallery ofcourse :-)

Good day!

Hi Joris,

Are you using the Auto Insert for the front end? We may need to have a look at the site to see what is going on there.

Thanks for the feature request. We do actually plan to introduce uneditable widgets into Ark Widget so that less knowledgeable users don't need to worry about messing up the underlying HTML.

Bootstrap 2, 3 & UIkit all have slideshow widgets that you can modify (see attached screen shot). They are found under the advanced widgets because they require slightly more HTML knowledge to fully setup, for example jumping into the editor's source mode to customise.

We are aware of the disabled scrolling issue, and will be trying to fix that for an upcoming release too!

Regards,

Paul

Hi Joris,

Sorry for the late response, I was moving house :)

I can see that the widget is inserting itself automatically into articles regardless of whether it is configured to auto insert or not. Is this the issue you were referring to (plus the disabled scroll issue that we are aware of)? This seems to be happening in the front & back end.

If so we can't directly see why this is happening. Could we take a backup of your site to investigate Ark Widget on our dev servers?

Regards,

Paul
