Hi Daniel,

This sounds like you might have a javascript error on you page.

Could you add your site login & FTP details to the Site Details tab and we will have a look into the issue for you.

Regards,

Paul

Hi Leo,

Thanks for your ticket, I can see the update issue you are experiencing. Have you tried, fully uninstalling and reinstalling Ark Menu to see if this fixes the issue?

I have passed the front-end saving issue onto the Ark Menu developer team to take a look for you and to see if they can shed some light on the issue for you.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul, Tried various things including uninstall/reinstall - Thats why I then set up a minimum Joomla site just to make sure there isn't a js script or extension causing the issue - Really would like to get it running as I have several community sites that having a front end edit/create  feature would make it a lot easier for them to service

Kind Regards

Leo

Hi Leo,

Thanks for letting us know, we are having some delays with getting round to investigating this issue further due to the global lockdowns that a lot of countries are experiencing right now, so please bear with us as we attempt to catch up and will let you know once we have looked into this further.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Leo,

We have logged into your site and tested the Ark Menu frontend editing plugin.

We created two Menus:

  1.  A new menu, "My menu test " as a submenu of "Testing fmenu" using the Add Menu toolbar button at the top
  2.  On the article edit screen created a new main menu "fmenu dup test," which links to the same place as the menu "testing fmenu"

These menus were created successfully without any errors being thrown.

We were unable to replicate this problem. So the issue you may have been facing may have been due to a cache problem. And this may have now resolved for you. Or this issue is specific to the other live site that you are trying to use the product on.

The next step would be with your permission is to take an Akeeba backup of that site so that we can investigate this site locally without causing any disturbance to your live site. We will need you to add backend access credentials to the private site details section so that we can access the live site and progress with this investigation.

Please note: there could be several things that could be causing this issue, but we believe it is likely a system plugin on your site that is causing the conflict with our plugin that is resulting in this issue.

Kindest Regards,

Andrew
