Hi Folamour,

Sorry I do not understand what you are trying to convey. Maybe some of the communication is lost in the translation.
Please could you expand upon what you are trying to do when using the editor? Please, if possible, could you give step by step instructions that we can follow to replicate the issue.

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi andrew, in fact the issue is simple, when i select an image and the text below to put then on (division) aka DIV, to make the legend stuck to the photo,

Ark editor is also putting all the text above the photo to (division) DIV section, so all the text before the picture is stuck

i have captured the issue :

https://www.crashdebug.fr/media/Docs/All-previous-text-goes-divs.mp4

i have updated credential in 'site details'

hope you can fix that because we cannot have clean image an legend

Hi Folamour,

I believe the issue is that you cannot see the boundaries of your block elements and block container elements such as P or DIV tags in your article. So to do what you are trying to do successfully, you need to visually know where your block elements start or end in order to drag or paste other elements into them.  This is why the editor has a Show Blocks mode.

If you are editing in the backend, please click the Elements tab to represent all block elements on the page visually. If you are in the front end in the default toolbar layout, please click the third button (Show Blocks) and again that will show you visually all your container tags, which should help you.

Alternatively, suppose you just want a simple title or text below the image. In that case, you can just add a caption to the image by double-clicking or right-clicking and then going to the media manager's image properties and adding your text in the caption box.

Kindest Regards,

Andrew

Hi andrew, my apologize, i uploaded the wrong video : (((

here the correct one so you can understood the issue :

https://www.crashdebug.fr/media/avi/div.mp4

selecting image + bottom text and put them to (div) section was working in previous release, and work on jck editor, its not normal that ark edutir apply the (div) section to the text before selected text & image,

thanks,

Hi folamour,

Sorry for the delay in a response. Due to the current climate, we are not able to respond to tickets as quickly as we would like. We are looking into the issue and hope to have this resolved by the end of the week.

Kind regards,

Matt

Hi folamour,

To wrap multiple elements inside a single DIV container, please use the corresponding "Create DIV Container" button found within the editor, as seen in the attached GIF.

If you have any further queries, please let us know.

Kind regards,

Matt

hi matt that i tried to explain to you if that i set a div 'paragraph format' to make the text who is a 'legend' stuck to the image,

i'll tried selecting the image and the text and set the div section as you said but that didn't stuck the text to the image,

so i'll show you how doing the correct is altering all the previous text of the page, ALL the text goes to div section

https://www.crashdebug.fr/media/avi/Different-div.mp4

here is the same procedure using JCK editor and you will that that only the image and the text goes div and all the previous text stay correct,

https://www.crashdebug.fr/media/avi/JCK_EDITOR_DIV.mp4

thanks a lot, take care,

guillaume,

Hi folamour,

To replicate the HTML you received using JCK Editor, you will need to select each item separately and convert this to a div element. See below GIF for an example of this (converttodiv.gif).

Please be advised JCK Editor only supports HTML4. Ark Editor supports HTML5 which is the default version supported by all major browsers, including those on mobile devices. As a result, this needs to be done differently by using the HTML5 element "figure" (see: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_figcaption.asp). See the example below on how to action this using the Ark Editor (addcaption.gif).

Kind regards,

Matt

Hi folamour,

As mentioned in my previous comment, to achieve this you would need to select each element (the image and the text) individually. Therefore, there should be no difference in the outcome if there is other content before the image. To show this, please see the GIF below actioning this again with text above the image. As seen in this GIF, this bug did not occur.

However, we still suggest using the "caption" field instead when inserting an image via the media manager. The following link is another example of the HTML when adding a caption in HTML5: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/10128950/how-to-write-a-caption-under-an-image.

Kind regards,

Matt
